Windows 8 is the current version of Microsoft Windows operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home desktops and business laptops, netbooks, tablets, servers and multimedia centers. It adds support for ARM microprocessors in addition to the traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Its user interface has been modified to make it more suitable for use with touch screens, in addition to the traditional mouse and keyboard. Microsoft also announced that Aero Glass will not be present in the final version of Windows 8. Microsoft announced the release of the final version of Windows 8 will be held on October 26, 2012.3 3 years after the release of its predecessor Windows 7. It launched to the general public a development version ("Consumer Preview") on February 29, 2012. Microsoft finally announced an almost complete version of Windows 8, the Preview Release, which was released on May 31, 2012 and is the latest preview version of Windows 8 before its official release. The development of Windows 8 concluded with the announcement of the RTM on 1 August 2012.
